Dear RUN,

This Thursday marks the last day to register for the RUN Summit 2021.

  • WHAT is the Summit? It’s the culmination of all of our fall brainstorming, when RUN leaders make final decisions about what issues to prioritize for the year ahead.
  • WHEN will it take place? This year, we’ll host the Summit starting the afternoon of Tuesday, Nov. 2 and finish up midday on Thursday, Nov. 4.
  • WHERE will the Summit take place? It will be virtual, so all you need is a connection to Zoom, on your computer, tablet, or phone.
  • WHO should attend the Summit? The Summit is meant for RUN leaders who have attended this year’s regional convenings and Community Care calls, since we’ll be making decisions that require a little bit of experience with housing issues. The Summit will be interpreted in English and Spanish.
  • WHO should NOT attend the Summit? The Summit is a space for people who are not usually represented in housing policy conversations: affordable housing residents, people who’ve experienced homelessness, and renters who have struggled to get by. It is not a space for homeowner allies or policy staffers. We’ll be thrilled to have allies join us at other events, just not this one.

How do I register? Click this link and enter your information by the end of the day on October 7. It’s free, and you do NOT have to donate anything to attend.

Take good care,

Tori

CONNECT WITH RUN

  • This week on the Community Care call, we’ll look at some of the 281 ideas that arose during There Ought To Be A Law and discuss them in small groups. Join us this Wednesday from 1-2pm for our weekly Community Care call, an hour of connection and information as we work towards statewide housing justice. Use this Zoom link or call in at 669 900 6833, meeting ID 977 6290 7497.

NEWS YOU CAN USE

  • Housing CA has a new website! Check it out at the same website, www.housingca.org, and find the new Residents United Network site at the very top of the page. (You might see your own face up there!) Sending people to the website is a perfect way to get new people information about what we do at RUN.
