Dear RUN, Are you all vaccinated? Those of us who are vaxxed up will be coming together for masked, distanced regional convenings next month, with some virtual convenings sprinkled across the state as well. It’s a bit of a rollercoaster with the Delta variant spreading, so we’re staying flexible, but our hope is to see all of you in your regions in person in September for the beginning of our brainstorm process for 2022. If you’re brand new to RUN, or you need a reminder, it works like this: RUN members across the state discuss what laws they think will get us closer to housing justice in California through a series of meetings called “There Ought To Be A Law.” Last year we came up with 224 ideas from across the state. Then RUN leaders whittled those down to 15 priorities, which we narrowed down to a handful of bills to support at the Summit. If you’ve never been to a RUN meeting in person, “There Ought To Be A Law” is an amazing way to connect with us.
