Dear RUN, 

We’re eight days out from our first-ever virtual Lobby Days, and after a month of trainings, we’re almost ready to go! 

If you’re registered and trained for Lobby Days, look out for an email with your team information and schedule for next week tonight. If you didn’t get trained, we won’t be able to put you on a Lobby Days team, but you can support our bills by taking action after Lobby Days, and by spreading the word about Lobby Days as they happen on social media.

If you're all trained up, at our Community Care call this Wednesday at 1pm, you’ll get a chance to meet your team, plan who will take on each role in your meetings, and practice together. Here’s the link to that meeting, which will have Spanish interpretation.

And if that isn’t enough excitement, there’s a budget hearing tomorrow (3/9) on AB 71, and 130 organizations have signed a letter of support for the bill. Can you call in and tell them you support AB 71, too? You can watch the hearing here and call in starting at 1:30pm at 877-692-8957 / Access Code:  131 54 37. Then, you dial 1 0 to enter the queue. 

Once you’re in, say this: “My name is ___ and I’m with the Residents United Network at Housing California, a member of the Bring California Home coalition. I urge the Committee to include an ongoing funding source for homelessness programs in this year's budget.” 

The hearing starts at 1:30, but public comment likely won’t start until at least 3:30, and will likely last all evening. You might be in line for a while, so join whenever you can!
