Dear RUN,

Seventy of you will join us for the annual RUN Summit this Thursday and Friday, where we’ll make big decisions about RUN’s priorities for 2021 and plan for January. If you’re attending, look for another email with more details and the link to the meetings.

If you’re not attending, but you wish you were, check in with your regional organizing coordinator (we call them ROCs - get it?) to find out how you can jump in after the Summit is over. We’ve got plenty of other ways to connect, including a Summit recap next Wednesday 12/9 at our Community Care call at 1pm, open to everyone. And look out for big things coming in January!

Not sure who your ROC is? We’re thrilled to welcome our newest ROC, Azalia Gomez-Camacho, working with SCANPH in the Inland Empire to build power in Riverside, San Bernardino, and the Coachella Valley.

All seven ROCs are super-committed to housing justice, and they’re very friendly. Reach out to the one in your area:

Take good care,

Tori

Connect with RUN

  • NO Community Care call this week because of the Summit. See you instead next Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 1pm (link coming next week).

News you can use

  • Not a surprise, but now there’s proof: evictions spread COVID.
  • In El Sereno this week, Los Angeles-area homeless families officially moved into vacant homes on CalTrans land, after months of negotiation, following in the footsteps of Oakland Moms 4 Housing organizers.
