Register for Lobby Days 2021 Today!

Dear Housing CA Supporter,

Housing CA and RUN are excited to announce that our favorite day of the year has gone virtual: Lobby Days 2021 will stretch across three days from March 16 - 18, and you’re invited. If you represent an organization receiving this message, we ask you to please extend the invitation to your supporters. Register today here, then pass the link to friends and family who want to make sure our legislators know how many of us care about increasing affordable housing and ending homelessness.

How will it work? On Tuesday, March 16, we’ll start with a morning rally. Then we’ll meet with legislators via Zoom to urge them to support key Housing CA and RUN priority bills. (Wondering about those bills? They’ll include AB 71, which would tax corporations to fund housing and services for people experiencing homelessness, and AB 328, which would use money from closing prisons to fund housing and services for formerly incarcerated people experiencing homelessness -- both are reflected in the Roadmap HOME’s 2021 policy package. We’ll get you all trained up to talk about them.)

Expect to join us in the morning of March 16 for the rally, then follow a special preassigned schedule for the lobby visits.

An important note: in order to receive Zoom links for legislator visits, you must register and then get trained with us first. If you’re a RUN leader, we’ll hold three training sessions in English at our regularly scheduled Community Care call times, along with one training in Spanish.

2/10: Training #1, Virtual Lobby Visits 101

2/17: Training #2, RUN Priorities 2021

2/18: Spanish-language training

2/24: Training #3, Putting It All Together

If you’re not a RUN member or you work for an affordable housing developer, service provider, or other partner organization, we’d love to have you join us for Lobby Day. First, get registered, and then we ask that you attend a training for RUN allies on Thursday, March 4 at 10am. (We’ll send you a training link after you register.)

Anyone can get trained and join us. And we’ll need a lot of us to show legislators that they should support our priorities, so tell your friends to register here.

In solidarity,
The Housing California Team
