Millions of Californians have endured months without income and employment and now they face the risk of eviction or are on the brink of homelessness. We must strengthen the safety net so no individual, family, or neighbor is pushed out of their home in their most vulnerable moment. Right now, 13 independent state agencies providing homelessness support and resources have no single point of authority overseeing their activities. It’s wasteful & inefficient. We need one state Office to End Homelessness that will give structure and coordination to California's currently fractured response to homelessness. That's where you come in! This bill is the only legislation remaining that could have a significant impact on homelessness this year. Let’s not lose this chance to make meaningful structural change to help those on the brink or currently experiencing homelessness. It’s time to write that letter and join the Tweet Storm! | |
